Mini Biography:
His cover versions of Ennio Morricone's "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" reached No.2 on the U.S. charts in June 1968. To this day, he is often miscredited as being the composer instead of Morricone. Montenegro also pioneered the use of synthesizers in musical arrangements and was a proponent of quadraphonic(four-channel) sound, for which he was nicknamed "The Quadfather".
